Psychiatric Evaluations Duration 60 Minutes
In your first visit, a 60-minute psychiatric evaluation is conducted to help me understand your mental health concerns, symptoms, and overall functioning. We will discuss a working diagnosis (things can always change!) and a treatment plan to help decrease symptoms. This often includes medication, therapy, coping skills, and lifestyle changes. We will work as a team to create an individualized plan that will work for you.
Medication Management Duration: 20-30 minutes
Follow-ups are a crucial aspect of mental health treatment, ensuring that your medication is effectively supporting you on your path to wellness. During these appointments, we will review your medication usage, assess treatment progress, and monitor for any side effects or changes in symptoms. These follow-ups offer an opportunity for open dialogue, where you can discuss their experiences with medication, voice concerns, and ask questions. We may also adjust dosages or switch medications based on treatment response, striving to optimize effectiveness and minimize adverse effects
Pharmacogenetic Testing
GeneSight Psychotropic is a pharmacogenomic test which means that it analyzes how your genes may affect medication outcomes. The GeneSight test analyzes clinically important genetic variations in your DNA. Results can inform your doctor about how you may break down or respond to certain medications commonly prescribed to treat depression, anxiety, and other psychiatric conditions.
